Copyright Ownership Policy
Copyright ownership at DIU is governed by board policy 365, which states in part:
This policy constitutes an understanding that is binding on DIU, its academic and non-academic personnel, students, and others as a condition of their participating in DIU research programs or their use of DIU resources. DIU may require formal copyright agreements to implement the Policy as appropriate, but the absence of such executed agreements shall not invalidate the applicability of this Policy, except where required by law.
Additional information regarding DIU's copyright policies regarding faculty research and publication may be found in local board policy or the "Copyright and Intellectual Property" section of the DIU faculty handbook.
Forms and procedures for registering copyright may be found by visiting the U.S. Copyright Registration site.
