Can I Use This In Class?

The Association of Research Libraries has developed a Fair Use FAQ for Professors.  This document can serve as an excellent starting point when considering materials for use within your course.

Determining copyright compliance generally involves consideration of a number of factors.  It is important to become familiar with the most common processes for ensuring compliance with copyright restrictions. 

Details on each of these processes may be found under the corresponding tab in the chart.  The questions provide guidance for determining where to begin.
